It's actually about a young boy (who is depicted as a girl here) pretending he has friends whom, both mean a lot to him and him mean something to them.
I made it a girl because I felt that the emotions befit a girl rather than a boy.
So, he spends his life believing that, until he looks in the mirror and sees who he really is.
Not a little girl with friends. But rather a man demolished by his own deception.
So then the dialogue came about.
